1. What is Rhapsody? 

Rhapsody is a music service and a media player combined into one easy-to-use software program. You can subscribe to our award-winning music services to play and download over a million songs on demand, or just use the media player to play your own CDs and MP3s. 2. What is Rhapsody 25?

Rhapsody 25 is a great way to get a feel for what Rhapsody is all about. Anyone who creates a basic Rhapsody account with a valid e-mail address can get the Rhapsody player software with Rhapsody 25, a limited version of the Rhapsody service. Each month, Rhapsody 25 gives you 25 free streams (also called "song plays") from the Music Guide. You can play one song 25 times, 25 different songs one time each, or any combination. You also get access to 25 premium radio stations for free. There is no credit card required and nothing to cancel.

3. Do I have to pay for Rhapsody? 

Registering and downloading the Rhapsody software is free. However, if you choose to buy any music downloads, you will need to pay for any songs at the time of purchase. If you decide to subscribe to any of our subscription services, you will need to pay the applicable monthly fee after the completion of your free trial. There is no requirement to buy songs or subscribe to any of our services if you choose not to.

10. Can I burn CDs with Rhapsody? 

Yes. Rhapsody enables you to burn CDs using music files from your own MP3 collection or any music available for purchase in our music store.

11. Can I transfer music to my portable MP3 player with Rhapsody?

Rhapsody can transfer all your personal MP3s and any downloads you purchase from Rhapsody to your iPod. However, the iPod does NOT support Rhapsody To Go our any Rhapsody subscription music at this time.

14. What are the system requirements to use Rhapsody? 

Basic system requirements:

  • Windows XP, Me, 2000 or 98 SE
  • Pentium II 350 MHz equivalent or better
  • 64 MB of RAM minimum
  • 380 MB available hard disk space
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later, JavaScript/Active Scripting enabled

Additional system requirements:

Windows XP is required for unlimited downloads. This included downloading as part of either a Rhapsody Unlimited or a Rhapsody To Go subscription.

15. Is Rhapsody available outside the U.S.? 

At this time Rhapsody's premium music services are only available in the U.S. and its territories. However, you can feel free to use the Rhapsody jukebox software anywhere you like.
